Your tour will take effect when the moment you land at Cairo airport as our "Egypt Select Tours" staff member will be waiting for you at your arrival gate where he will help you complete all of your passport control formalities and luggage identification & carry. The High Dam represents the modern soul of the entire city of Luxor, it was constructed between 1960 & 1970 during the reign of Gamal Adel-Nasser. The colossi were damaged due to a large earthquake in 27 BC but were rebuilt again in 199 AD. The statues were very famous during the Greco-Roman period due to the phenomenon called The Vocal Memnon which resulted from the statues making a sinning sound from time to time at dawn which was nothing more than the sound of the wind passing through the statue.
