The High Dam is the only modern attraction in the city of Aswan, it was constructed between 1960 & 1970. Colossi of Memnon are two colossal blocks of quartzite sandstone standing at the height of 18 m (60ft) weighing 720 tons each and have the shape of Pharaoh Amenhotep III(1386-1350).
