Abu Simbel Temples

The enchanting temples of Abu Simbel were constructed by Ramses the Great (1303 – 1213 BC) in the 3rd century BC during the new Kingdom to immortalize his achievements like his victory in the which resulted in the signing of the first document of the peace treaty, celebrating the annual sun festival on the 22 of October and February to honor the ancient Egyptian gods of Amun, Ra Horakhty, and Ptah, show his life and devotion to his wife in the second temple and keep his heritage remembered for eternity.
