When you arrive at Cairo airport, our "Egypt Select Tours" representative will assist you in completing all of your passport entry formalities and luggage identification & carry. Then, you will be transferred by a private air-conditioned car to your hotel for checking-in.

Dinner Time

It was built in 1400 BCE during the reign of Pharaoh Amenhotep III where it was known as "Ipetresyet" which means the southern sanctuary. It was dedicated to the God Amun of the Theban Triad and to represent the notion of the rejuvenation of kingship, the temple was truly magical due to its extensive decorations. The best time to visit the temple is at night when the moon shines only for the temple and everything comes to the land of the living.

Colossi of Memnon

Colossi of Memnon was built by Amenhotep III (1386-1350)to be the colossal guardians of Luxor, they consist of two blocks of quartzite sandstone standing at the height of 18 m (60ft) weighing 720 tons each and have the shape of Pharaoh himself. The colossi were damaged due to a large earthquake in 27 BC but were rebuilt once again in 199 AD. The statues were very famous during the Greco-Roman period due to the phenomenon called The Vocal Memnon which resulted from the statues creating a sinning sound from time to time which was nothing more than the sound of the wind passing through the statue at dawn.

Salah El Din Citadel

Salah El-Din citadel has been watching over the city for generation after generation and that's why it is dubbed the Cairo citadel. It was completed in 1182 AD by the great ruler salah el din. It served as a powerful fortress against the crusaders & napoleon's French invasion and in the 19th century, it became the headquarters of the government for more than 700 years. The citadel is a true wonder holding between its walls unimaginable beauty & wonder and a number of museums, and beautifully structured buildings.

Mohamed Ali Mosque

Mohamed Ali Mosque is a living piece of art known as the alabaster mosque due to the extensive usage of marble. It was constructed between 1830 and 1848 AD to be a replica of the blue mosque in Istanbul as a symbol of independence and freedom against the Ottoman Empire. The mosque is constructed in ottoman style architecture with French rococo influences and a great breathtaking dome. It contains an ornate brass clock a gift from King Louis Philippe of France to Muhammad Ali in 1845 in exchange for an obelisk that stands in the Concorde square in Paris and a Turkish ablutions fountain resembling a giant Easter egg.

The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization

Pompey's Pillar is a genuine symbol of might and the largest monolith column ever built outside of Rome. It stands at a height of 28 m tall and 2.7 m wide of pure red granite and on its western upper side is a Greek inscription dedicated to Emperor Diocletian. The reason why it is named Pompey's pillar is that in the Middle Ages the crusaders mistakenly believed that the remains of the great Roman general Pompey are located in a pot at the very top of the pillar.

Qaitbay Citadel is an echo from the past waiting to survive, it was constructed in 1477 by sultan Al-Ashraf Sayf Al-Din Qa'it bay in the same location which held the legendary lighthouse of Alexandria using the stones salvaged from the destroyed lighthouse that served as the third longest surviving ancient wonder in the world until it's destruction by a series of earthquakes between 956 AD and 1323 AD. The citadel has some incredible enchanting designs for the Islamic era.
